Hi my name is Glenda and I have worked in Marketing as well as becoming a qualified Primary School Teacher. For the past 16 years and I have been a WAHM (work at home mum) running Precious Memories.
I am lucky to say that I have been running Precious Memories for the past 16 years. Often asked how did the company start and my response to this is – it wasn’t planned. I began offering 3D Castings to family and friends and the magic of networking began. 3D Castings soon branched out into the luxury castings. A few months later, due to the closure of a company called Kindercast, I had a huge interest in 2D Impressions. This was a great complimentary product with the 3D Castings, so began offering these. Silver Fingerprint jewellery and belly bump castings and bowls soon followed. As a pet lover I realised this market was also very popular. The last product were the triangle family handclasps. They are a great keepsake to create and are lots of fun.
Having set up the business to work around my girls since they were born has been an amazing opportunity. I have never looked back and I am now keen to offer the same opportunities for other mums and dads who want to do the same. My low cost training days are tailored to each person who attends.
Top Tips on Becoming a WAHM
Over the years I have created so many keepsakes I have lost count. I love my self-built studio. Moreover, knowing how much joy it brings to the client still gives me the same feeling of satisfaction, 16 years on. No two days are ever the same. I can see me creating keepsakes for many years to come as the beauty of this business is that it is recession proof!
On a personal note. I am living in a fabulous part of the country Poole, Dorset . Very lucky to have such beautiful beaches on my doorstep. It also makes it a great place for people to come and visit when they attend one of my training courses.
I met my husband in 1991 and we married 10 years later. Still going strong our family has grown and consists of. Two daughters age 15 and 12 yers. Two female rabbits Munchkin & Tinker. Two female dogs Phoebe our rescue Shih Tzu and Pickle our cockapoo. The house is very female dominated – poor husband !
