Meet Glenda — Lifecasting Artist, Mentor & Trainer

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Glenda — mum, maker, mentor, and the woman behind Precious Memories. I specialise in Lifecasting Training, baby lifecasting and memorial casting from my award‑winning studio in Dorset. With more than 20 years’ experience, I’ve helped families capture the moments that matter and supported students from across the UK and overseas.

Precious Memories now holds over 100 five‑star reviews across Google, Facebook and TripAdvisor, and I’m honoured to have received the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award — placing my studio among the top‑rated creative businesses in the UK.

How Lifecasting Found Me

When my daughter was born, everything shifted. I wanted more flexibility, more purpose, and a way to contribute financially without missing the moments that mattered most. There was no business plan or roadmap — just determination and a belief that there had to be a better way.

Lifecasting arrived at exactly the right time, and something clicked. The creativity, the emotion and the privilege of capturing a moment forever drew me in. Over time, this passion grew into the Lifecasting Training I now teach today.

The Heart of My Work — Including Memorial Casting

As the years passed, my work expanded far beyond baby castings. I’ve supported families through joyful milestones and, at times, through heartbreaking loss. Memorial lifecasting became a deeply meaningful part of what I do, and it shaped the way I teach — gently, patiently and with genuine care.

The Real Story Behind My Journey

Confidence didn’t come easily to me growing up. There were years when bullying made school difficult, and retaking exams knocked me back more than once. As a result, I didn’t step into adulthood with everything neatly figured out.

Even so, those experiences shaped me in ways I didn’t expect. They taught me resilience, empathy and patience — qualities that now sit at the heart of how I teach and support others.

Before lifecasting, I worked in education supporting children with additional needs. That role taught me how to meet people exactly where they are, and it’s something I’ve carried into every training session since.

How My Business Grew With My Daughters

As my daughters grew and began finding their own paths, my business evolved alongside them. What started as a way to work around nap times and school runs gradually became a career that still gives me purpose today.

Because I’ve lived through so many life transitions — new motherhood, juggling everything, rediscovering myself, and now watching my girls step into adulthood — I understand the women who come to me for training. More importantly, I know how powerful it feels to build something that’s yours, no matter what stage of life you’re in.

Why I Teach the Way I Do

I’ve never believed in rushing people or forcing them into a one‑size‑fits‑all approach. Lifecasting is personal, and learning it should feel the same. That’s why I teach gently, at your pace, and with the same patience I needed when I first started.

I remember exactly what it felt like to be unsure, to second‑guess myself and to wonder whether I was “creative enough.” Because of that, I create a space where you can breathe, ask questions, make mistakes and grow — without judgement.

And when your training ends, I don’t simply disappear. Instead, I stay in your corner, cheering you on as you build something that’s truly yours.

Who My Lifecasting Training Is For

I’ve trained people from all walks of life — new mums, dads, creatives, career‑changers and those simply looking for something more fulfilling.

Most of my students are searching for:

  • flexibility

  • purpose

  • creativity

  • a business that fits around real life

  • honest guidance rather than “Instagram perfection”

If you’ve ever thought, “I want something for me,” or “I’d love to earn, but still be present at home,” you’ll probably see a little of yourself in my story. I’ve been there too.

My studio is based in Dorset, and I welcome students from across the UK and overseas.

Life Outside the Studio

When I’m not teaching lifecasting or creating 3D casts, you’ll usually find me walking Pickle — my enthusiastic cockapoo and unofficial studio supervisor. I also love travelling, exploring new creative ideas and enjoying the quieter moments that keep me grounded.

Naturally, Pickle believes she runs the business. She doesn’t… but I let her think she does.
