#lifecasting and hand casting training

Private 1:1 training with Glenda — welcoming students from across the UK and internationally

This is specialist hand casting and lifecasting training delivered inside a real working studio, not a classroom, not a workshop space, and not an online substitute.

You train using real babies, families, and pets in genuine client scenarios, learning exactly how professional lifecasting is produced, finished, and delivered at commercial standard.

Every course is taught by me, personally — not a team, not rotating instructors. Twenty-two years in, I still teach every single student myself.

This is training for people who want to do this properly — and build something real from it.

3D Casting Training: £550 Day 1, £550 Day 2, £650 Day 3 — or book all three together and save £100. Day 3 can be taken at a later date.

Private Baby & Lifecasting Training (International Students Welcome)

One of the UK’s longest-established professional lifecasting studios, training students worldwide since 2004. I offer private hand casting and lifecasting training for students from the UK and worldwide, including baby hand casting, 3D baby casting, family hand casting, pet casting, belly bump casting, memorial keepsakes, and advanced lifecasting techniques.

Every course is fully personalised and taught using real models that I arrange myself, so you gain real-world experience from day one.

Meet Glenda — Your Lifecasting Mentor

Precious Memories began in 2004. I needed a way to work creatively around family life, while still doing meaningful, skilled work.

What started as a small studio has grown into a respected lifecasting training practice. Students travel here from across Europe, the USA, and beyond.

People don’t come here for mass teaching or pre-recorded content. They come for direct, in-person mentorship — and to learn how real lifecasting is actually done in a working studio.

Every student is trained personally by me, in Dorset.

Who This Lifecasting Training Is For

This professional baby hand casting and lifecasting training is ideal for parents, creatives, artists, photographers, therapists, nursery professionals, and anyone wanting to build a flexible creative business around family life.

Many students arrive with no experience at all — just patience, creativity, and the desire to create meaningful work that families truly value.

I don’t believe training should end when the day does, or that a course should feel like a transaction. I’ve stayed in touch with students nine years on. That’s not a policy — it’s just how I think this should work.

Why private 1:1 training makes such a difference

Personal, client-led training designed for people who want to build a real, income-generating creative business. This is not a hobby workshop or generic online course — it is professional baby hand casting and lifecasting training built around real paying clients.

For over 20 years, I’ve trained students from the UK, USA, Europe, Australia, India, and beyond.

What makes it different:

  • Private, personalised training — just you, or you and someone you’re building a business with together
  • Real babies, families, and pets to work with
  • Beginner-friendly step-by-step teaching
  • Full business setup, pricing, and client guidance
  • Direct lifetime support via WhatsApp
  • 22+ years of real commercial experience

Unlike group workshops, you are not observing — you are doing.

All aftercare and ongoing support is included at no extra cost. There are no time limits. Once you train with me, you can message me for help, advice, or reassurance for as long as you need — whether that’s months or years later.

How private lifecasting and baby hand casting courses compare in the UK

This isn’t a franchise or a scaled-up school. It’s still just me, doing the same work I did 22 years ago, teaching it the way I’d want to be taught.

Which Lifecasting Course Is Right for You?

Designed for UK and international students. There is no set pathway — you can choose 1, 2 or 3 days depending on your experience, confidence, and goals.

Day 1 – Baby Hand Casting Course Foundations (£550)
Learn safe, bubble-free baby hand casting techniques, and create exceptional high-quality detail casts with the correct formulas. Newborn model organised by me.

Day 2 – Advanced with Airbrush Finishing (£550)
Develop your techniques with an older, wigglier baby, handclasp casting, airbrushing, and professional finishing techniques.

Day 3 – Advanced Lifecasting Training & Business (£650)
Explore advanced pieces, and how to price and position your services.

You can train for a single day or build up to the full three. Book all three together and save £100. Day 3 can be taken at a later date once you’re ready.

Other courses include: Belly Bump Casting (£550, one day), Silver Fingerprint Jewellery Training (£550/day, over 2 days), 2D Raised Tile Baby Handprints and Footprints (£550, one day). Pet training — 2D, 3D, memorial and pet jewellery — is also available; get in touch for details.

Memorial Lifecasting Training — A Specialism of Its Own

Memorial casting isn’t something I treat as a small add-on to general training — it’s a dedicated course, because the skill, materials, and emotional sensitivity it demands are genuinely different from everyday keepsake work.

Over the years I’ve trained hospice staff, funeral directors, bereavement charities, and families facing the hardest moment of their lives. This is specialist work, and it deserves specialist training.

Memorial Lifecasting Training: £650 per day.

Lifecasting Training Investment & What You Can Earn

3D Casting Training is £550 for Day 1, £550 for Day 2, and £650 for Day 3 — or book all three together and save £100. There’s no need to do all three at once; Day 3 can be taken later, once you’ve had time to practise.

I’ve built a real, sustainable business from this over 22 years — not just taught the craft. When I teach you pricing and client work, it’s from having actually done it, not from theory.

Once trained, students typically charge:

  • Baby hand & foot casts: from £150+
  • Family hand casting sculptures: £200–£400+
  • Memorial keepsakes: premium pricing

Many students recover their training investment within their first few bookings.

What matters most isn’t just making the work — it’s understanding how to price, position, and present it so it actually sells.

Frequently Asked Questions for Hand Casting Courses UK

Do I need experience?

No — most students arrive as complete beginners and leave ready to work with real clients. I arrange all models myself so you practise on real babies, pets and families from day one. All you need is patience and an eye for detail.

How much does training cost?

3D Casting Training is £550 for Day 1, £550 for Day 2, and £650 for Day 3 — or book all three together and save £100. Day 3 can be taken at a later date.

Memorial Lifecasting Training is £650 per day — the total simply depends on how many days you need: one day for experienced casters, two for a full foundation, or three if you’d like to include airbrushing.

Other courses (belly bump, jewellery, tiles, pet training) are £550 — get in touch and I’ll talk you through what’s right for you.

Can I check reviews before I book?

Yes — I’m rated 5.0 on both TripAdvisor (Travellers’ Choice Award Winner, 2024 & 2025, over 100 reviews) and Google (over 60 reviews).

Is the support really for life?

Yes — genuinely. You can WhatsApp or email me anytime, for as long as you need, completely free. Students who trained years ago still message me. I am always there. Not because it’s good customer service — because I remember what it felt like to be starting out, and I never want a student to feel alone with it.

What if I need to split my training?

There is no set route through the courses. You can do one day and nothing else, come back months later for more, or combine several courses in one visit.

Will I learn how to get clients?

Yes — every course includes guidance on pricing, where to find clients, and how to build a business that works around your life. I only teach skills that families and professionals actually want to pay for, tested over 22 years.

Can I keep the work I make?

Yes — everything you create during training is yours to take home. I also send comprehensive notes, photos and videos from the day, and my exclusive 22-year trade supplier list with discount codes.

How far do your students travel?

My students travel from Norway, India, Tanzania, Germany, Cyprus, Ireland, Jersey and Los Angeles to train here. I provide personal guidance on accommodation, travel and payment via Wise for all international students.
