Meet Glenda — Lifecasting Mentor & Founder of Precious Memories
I’m Glenda — an award-winning lifecasting mentor with over 22 years of real commercial experience. I train and mentor students from across the world from my private studio in Dorset.
As a lifecasting mentor I cover baby casting, family handclasps & advanced , pet casting, memorial casting and silver jewellery. Over 100+ five-star reviews. TripAdvisor People’s Choice Award 2024 & 2025.
What I am most proud of is not the awards. It is watching nervous students arrive unsure they can do this — and leave knowing they can. Some have built extraordinary businesses. Many have become genuine friends. That never gets old.

How Lifecasting Found Me
When my daughter was born, everything shifted for me. I wanted flexibility, a sense of purpose, and a way to contribute financially without missing the moments that mattered most.
Finding lifecasting came at exactly the right time. The creativity, the emotion, and the privilege of capturing a moment forever drew me in. Gradually, that passion grew into the training I teach today.
Starting out in 2004 meant navigating everything alone. There was no social media, no online communities, no tutorials. I learned through trial and error, through mistakes, and through persistence. There were no shortcuts and no one to ask. That experience shapes everything I teach — whenever I show you something, it’s because I worked it out the hard way first.

The Heart of My Work — Including Memorial Casting
My work expanded far beyond baby castings over the years. Memorial lifecasting became a deeply meaningful part of what I do — including supporting families who have lost a baby. That work changed me and shaped how I teach.
Students have trained here from Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Norway, India, Tanzania, Germany, Latvia, Poland, Cyprus, Jersey, Spain and Los Angeles. What never stops surprising me is how far people travel. It tells me that what I offer is genuinely rare.
International enquiries are always welcome. I help with accommodation, travel and payment via Wise.

The Real Story Behind My Journey
Confidence did not come easily growing up. Bullying made school difficult and retaking exams knocked me back. Those experiences taught me resilience, empathy and patience — qualities that sit at the heart of how I teach.
Before lifecasting I worked in education supporting children with additional needs. That taught me how to meet people exactly where they are.
Running a business as a sole trader means wearing every hat. When something is outside my expertise — like Instagram — I get help rather than muddle through. Life running a business is a roller coaster as you learn to navigate through so much.

Why I Teach the Way I Do as a lifecasting mentor
Rushing people or forcing a one-size-fits-all approach has never felt right to me. Instead, I teach gently, at your pace, without judgement.
Flexibility is something I value deeply — whether that’s with dates, pace, or structure. Life rarely arranges itself neatly around a course schedule. Sometimes children get ill. Travel can take longer than expected. None of that phases me.
Disappearing once training ends isn’t how I work. Students who arrive feeling nervous leave with something real. Over time, some have built extraordinary businesses. Others have become genuine friends. I remember one student who sat in her car for ten minutes before knocking. Today, she runs a thriving business and has even trained others herself.

BEYOND TRAINING BUSINESS MENTORING
Many students come back not for more technical training but for business support. Running your own business is hard — social media, pricing, finding clients, staying ahead of trends. Nobody tells you about all of that when you start.
After 20+ years, I know what lasts and what does not. That knowledge is available to every student, not just on the training day but whenever they need it.
And one more thing — because nobody else will say it. Looking after yourself matters. Building something sustainable means taking care of the person building it. That is something I talk about with every student who needs to hear it.

WHO TRAINS WITH A LIFECASTING MENTOR
People come from every background — parents, career changers, healthcare professionals, pet specialists, photographers, groomers and funeral directors. There is no typical student.
Flexibility matters here — this business was built around small children, so that is genuinely understood. Animals are family — always have been. And the empty nest? That strange feeling of wondering what comes next — that is understood too.
A student trained nine years ago got in touch recently needing support with a memorial pet casting. She knew someone would be there — and they were. Nicole now runs Love Casting Jersey. That is what lifetime support actually means.
Outside the studio it is Pickle, the Dorset coast and the local gym. Pickle is not just a dog — she is a work colleague, a model and genuinely one of the best friends anyone could ask for. She has been part of every pet training day and more student stories than can be counted.
Been thinking about this for a while? Stop waiting. That first message costs nothing.
