Why a Midlife Reset Is Becoming More Common
Have you ever quietly wondered, is this really it? Maybe your children are older now, or you’re stuck in a career that no longer fits who you are. Starting again can feel frightening, especially after years spent building a life around others. But a reset doesn’t mean starting from nothing. Often it means using skills and life experience you already have, in a new way.
Jacqui contacted me after years in the corporate world, burnt out and unsure. Her first question was “Am I too old for this?” She wasn’t. Her children were older now. She trained with me in 2D outprint tiles and 3D casting, loving every minute.
You Are Never Too Old to Learn Something New
Through training students, I’ve learned age is rarely the real barrier. Confidence is. Many arrive convinced they’re “not creative” or “too old to start,” then surprise themselves. This work is about patience, attention to detail, and understanding why a memory is worth keeping. Those are skills that often come with life experience.
Training covers 3D baby and family hand castings, pet keepsakes and memorial castings, belly bump castings, silver fingerprint jewellery, and 2D raised outprint tiles.
Donna’s journey is a good example. She tried casting before, lost confidence, and waited before finally training properly. Today she runs her own thriving keepsake business.
A New Chapter Doesn’t Have an Age Limit
Your previous experience matters. Your patience matters. Sometimes the next chapter isn’t about finding something completely different. It’s about discovering something that finally fits who you’ve become.
