Real Babies. Real Hands-On Experience. Real Confidence.
One of the biggest differences between watching someone demonstrate a technique and actually learning it is the chance to work with a real baby.
Babies move. Tiny fingers curl. Feet kick. You don’t always get a second chance to take an impression.
I arrange the models for you, so you can concentrate on learning the skill while I’m beside you to guide you through the process.
“…I had the invaluable opportunity to work with a real baby. This made all the difference, allowing me to learn exactly how much pressure to apply and how to achieve the perfect impressions with confidence.”
— Tamara Kublashvili Photography, London · TripAdvisor, June 2026
What You’ll Learn
Take clean, detailed impressions
Learn how to position and support little hands and feet, work with the right pressure and capture the detail you need.
Create the raised impression
Understand the process from the initial impression through to creating the raised design.
Refine and finish your tiles
Work with the finished piece, refine the surface and create a professional result suitable for your clients. Your tile will still be drying when you leave, and every stage is covered, so you’ll know how to finish it at home.
Work confidently with real babies
Gain practical experience with different ages, and learn how to adapt when a baby moves, curls their fingers or simply isn’t cooperating.
Understand your materials
Find out which materials and equipment you need, how they are used and where to source them.
Think commercially
We’ll talk about pricing, presenting your work and how raised impression tiles could fit naturally into your existing business.
Everything Is Arranged for Your Training Day
I arrange the models, so there’s no hunting for a baby to practise on. No kiln is required either, and nobody has to arrive as an experienced lifecaster.
The day is designed around practical learning, with me there throughout to demonstrate, explain, watch you practise and help you refine your technique.
Why Learn This in Person
Raised tiles come down to feel: pressure, positioning, timing and responding when a baby moves. Those are difficult things to learn from instructions alone.
Working side by side, I watch your hands, correct your pressure as you go and talk you through the moment a baby curls their fingers, so nothing is left to guesswork once you’re home. That’s why it’s worth coming to Dorset for the day.
Is This the Right Training for You?

What Students Say
The perfect fit for adapting my business
Babble Bunnies Cheshire already ran a baby and early-years business and wanted to introduce clay impressions as an additional service for families.
“I’ve come away feeling confident, inspired, and excited to start offering clay impressions as part of my services.”
— Babble B, Babble Bunnies Cheshire · TripAdvisor, March 2026
A complete beginner
“I was a complete beginner but the day was so well set out it never felt rushed. Every step of the process was covered, explained in detail and Glenda also took photos and videos throughout the day which was really helpful to show the good (and also where you may make a mistake).”

Learn From Someone Who Still Does the Work
I’ve been creating professional lifecasting and keepsake pieces for more than 20 years, and I’m still working with real families, babies, pets and clients. That means the training comes from actually doing the work.
Materials that don’t behave, babies that won’t stay still, finishes that need improving and clients who need reassurance have all happened to me too. That’s the practical experience I want to pass on to you.
Ready to Learn?
With the models arranged, no kiln required and no experience needed, you leave knowing the whole process, with lifetime support when you start doing it yourself.
