What Your Training Day Looks Like

Your session runs from 9:30am to 3:30pm and is tailored entirely to your experience. No two masterclasses are the same.

Throughout the day, we’ll work through the areas you want to strengthen. That may include multi‑hand compositions, more challenging hand positions, improving detail, or exploring premium finishing and presentation. We’ll also look at the practical side of offering high‑value work, including workflow and pricing.

If you’re interested in larger or more sculptural pieces, we can also cover the techniques needed to keep complex casts stable and secure.

Working With New‑Generation Casting Materials

Many artists still use traditional alginates and plasters. However, newer, high‑performance materials behave differently and require a different approach. Understanding them can make a noticeable difference to the strength, clarity and reliability of your casts.

During your training, you’ll learn how to work confidently with these materials, how to mix them correctly and how to avoid the common issues that come from outdated methods. It’s an area that isn’t widely taught, and it’s one of the reasons many artists choose this course.
