Learning new skills after 50 can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve tried before and things didn’t work out. Donna, who runs The Little Pottery Barn at Farrington Farm, knew this well. For over a year, she was curious about specialist 3D casting training but felt nervous to start. Having made common mistakes before, she wasn’t sure if she could succeed. However, when she finally took the leap and trained with me, her confidence grew steadily throughout the day. By the end, her relief and pride were clear.

I’m 55 and have run Precious Memories for over 21 years. I’ve raised two daughters, aged 21 and 18, who watch me build a business, learn new skills, and persevere through ups and downs. I hope they see that there’s no deadline on passion or purpose.
