From Grief to Grace: How Memorial Casting Keepsake Training in Dorset Helped Laura Create Precious Treasures
Laura’s Journey – From Wales to Dorset
After losing her dad in 2017, Laura founded Talla’s Treasures. In September that year, she travelled from Wales to Dorset to join my memorial casting keepsake training. Nervous and unsure, she feared mistakes or wasted materials. Although she had already been practicing memorial casting for four months, she wanted guidance and confidence to create truly special keepsakes.
During the training, Laura discovered how memorial casting could be both technical and deeply healing. She practised patiently, learning every detail of hand, foot, and paw castings, as well as memorial jewellery using ashes. This experience transformed her approach, giving her the skills and confidence to create meaningful treasures for grieving families.
