3D Casting Training for International Students
Every year, I welcome students who travel from around the world to my Dorset studio for specialist 3D casting training. Many have come from Norway, Ireland, Germany, India, Tanzania, Cyprus, and the USA. They make the journey because they want private, hands-on training and the confidence to build their own keepsake businesses.

From Norway to Dorset: A Creative Journey Begins
Ping, a mum from Norway, first travelled to Dorset to complete my 2D impressions course. She enjoyed the experience so much that she later returned to complete my 3D casting training.
One of the benefits of my training is that you don’t have to complete everything at once. Many students choose to return when the time is right. This lets them build their skills around work, family, and travel commitments.
Ping came from a background in the airline industry. She had excellent communication skills but initially found it difficult to transfer them into keepsake sessions. During training, I encouraged her to think about how she’d reassured nervous airline passengers before take-off. She used those same skills with parents and families during casting appointments.
That simple change transformed her confidence.
Today, Ping runs Minnestudio in Norway, creating beautifully framed keepsakes and building an excellent reputation with families in her local area. Seeing former students grow successful businesses in their own countries is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
Training Built Around Your Trip, Not a Fixed Week
My 3D casting training is usually completed over 2 or 3 days, depending on your goals. This allows most international students to combine their training with a short stay in Dorset. There’s no need to spend a full week away from home, or plan around a fixed course date months in advance.
Some students also choose to return later to complete additional training as their business grows.
Before you travel, I’ll happily recommend local hotels and accommodation close to the studio. Many international students also find paying through Wise a simple, cost-effective option for overseas payments, and I’m always happy to guide you through the booking process.
