Belly Bump Casting Course – UK & International Students Welcome
My Belly bump casting is one of the most intimate and meaningful keepsakes a family can have — a permanent sculpture of pregnancy, created with care and skill. As a result, it is one of the most requested services in the maternity world. Moreover, this one-day course teaches you everything you need to offer this beautiful service professionally, using real pregnant models that I arrange for you.

What makes this course different
Two real pregnant models are arranged for your training day — at no extra cost to you.
Your first model gives you the opportunity to create two belly bump bowls. With your second model, you then move on to casting the full belly, boobs and arms — a completely different composition that requires different technique and positioning. By the end of the day, therefore, you will have worked with two real women, experienced the full range of what professional belly casting involves, and have two beautiful pieces to take home.
No mannequins, no practising on yourself, and no hoping a friend happens to be pregnant. Instead, two real models are arranged and ready for you. Consequently, you arrive focused entirely on learning rather than worrying about logistics.
Using Mod-Rock you are taught — a professional, reinforced technique which is significantly more affordable to offer clients. It is the professional choice for a sustainable belly casting business.
Who this course is for
This course is ideal for anyone wanting to add belly bump casting to their services or start a new creative business around pregnancy and new families:
- Doulas and birth workers
- Pregnancy massage and holistic practitioners
- Antenatal teachers
- Maternity and newborn photographers
- Creatives wanting a new skill and income stream
- Anyone supporting expectant parents
In fact, many students combine this course with the 3D Casting Course or Raised Tile Training to offer a complete maternity and newborn keepsake service.
Why Mod-Roc belly casting makes better business sense
Many people starting out assume alginate is the proper material for belly casting. It sounds more professional and is widely talked about in the industry. However, after 22 years of working with real families, I have found that alginate belly casting prices most clients out. Families want a beautiful, lasting keepsake — but not at a premium price they cannot justify.
Mod-Roc, on the other hand, produces stunning, durable results that clients love, at a price point that keeps your diary full. That is why experienced belly casting practitioners choose it — not because it is the easier option, but because it is the smarter business choice. As a result, you build a sustainable, accessible service that reaches far more families than a premium-priced alternative ever could.
In addition, Mod-Roc provides several practical advantages:
- A gentle, comfortable experience for expectant mothers
- Strong, durable casts suitable for bump-and-baby photo shoots
- Versatility — bowls, wall art, display pieces and more
- A simple, repeatable workflow that scales with your business
- An accessible price point that helps you reach more clients
What you will learn
- Preparing materials and setting up for a professional client session
- Creating belly bump bowls — technique, positioning and support
- Casting the full belly, boobs and arms — a different composition requiring different approach
- Reinforcing and finishing casts to a professional standard
- Enhancing Mod-Roc casts for premium presentation
- Techniques for delicate or sensitive skin
- Professional workflow for client sessions
- Pricing your work confidently and profitably
- How belly casting naturally leads to long-term client relationships — since families often return for newborn tiles, 3D casts and more

What you leave with
You leave with one belly bump bowl and one full belly cast — two beautiful, portfolio-ready pieces that show the full range of what you can offer clients. If you have travelled to get here, both are manageable to take home and will make stunning examples to show potential clients straight away.
In addition, you take home comprehensive notes, photos and short videos from the day, a trusted supplier list with exclusive trade discount codes, and your certificate. Lifetime WhatsApp support is also included — so whenever questions come up once you start practising, I am always here.
The practical bits
Investment: £550 • Duration: One day, 9:30am – 3:30pm
The studio is in Lytchett Matravers, Dorset — about 15 minutes from Poole and 30 minutes from Bournemouth, with free parking right outside. It is a calm, private space designed entirely for this kind of work.
Both pregnant models are arranged by me — you just need to turn up. Furthermore, everything else is provided on the day including all materials. A 50% deposit secures your place, with the balance due the week before.
Quite a few belly bump students travel to me. In that case, I am happy to help with local accommodation recommendations and can accept international payments via Wise. Simply mention this when you enquire and I will sort everything out for you.
