Course information
Using Precious Metal Clay, you will learn to create stunning silver jewellery from real paw and nose impressions — pendants, charms, rings and more. Importantly, Pickle my cockapoo is on hand as a willing model throughout, so you work with a real animal from the very start rather than practising on a surface that bears no resemblance to a real paw.
In addition, the course covers handwriting and drawings transferred into silver — a beautiful option for clients who want to combine a pet’s paw print with their own name or a personal message. As a result, you can offer a much wider range of personalised pieces, increasing both your appeal and your income.
Who this course is for
Pet print jewellery appeals to an extraordinarily wide audience — almost every pet owner is a potential client. Therefore, this course is particularly well suited to:
- Pet crematoriums and memorial professionals wanting to expand their keepsake offering
- Groomers, dog walkers and pet sitters wanting an additional income stream
- Pet photographers looking to offer lasting keepsakes alongside their images
- Vet nurses and veterinary receptionists wanting to support grieving owners
- Jewellery makers and crafters wanting to add a pet-specific service
- Anyone wanting to start a flexible, home-based pet keepsake business
- Existing casters wanting to add jewellery to their range
The demand for pet memorial keepsakes in the UK is growing year on year. Moreover, silver jewellery carries a higher perceived value than tiles or castings, which means you can consequently charge accordingly and build a premium service.
